COVID-19 Safety & Cleanliness Procedures and Polices

Southern hospitality has always been at the heart of what we do at East Austin Hotel, along with the utmost level of cleanliness in our rooms and all throughout our property. We know that now, more than ever during the COVID-19 pandemic, that same high standard must also extend to the safety and well-being of our guests. While your experience at our hotel may look different than before, please know we’re here to support you with a warm and welcoming smile under our masks.

In addition to CDC and EPA recommendations and procedures, East Austin Hotel is following the below guidelines. Note that as procedures adapt and evolve, so too will our practices. Do not hesitate to ask for more information or clarity on any of our new measures. While we must remain physically distant, we’re always here for our guests.


ON PROPERTY
We are carefully monitoring our employees, and all employees are required to have their temperature taken upon arrival and go through the proper process to determine they have not been exposed to COVID-19. Any employee showing signs of COVID-19 will be sent home and required to seek medical treatment before being allowed back to work. 

All employees are required to wear a mask at all times. Guests are also required to wear a mask on property in any common spaces outside of their designated table, pool lounge chair, or inside the pool. Any guests without a mask will be provided one upon entering the property.

The hotel reserves the right to take the temperature of any patron on the property.

During our time apart, every surface has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected…and then cleaned again. We utilize a CDC and EPA approved peroxide multi-surface cleaner and disinfectant that neutralizes any COVID-19 particles within a minute.

Our staff is working around the clock to regularly disinfect all areas of high touch, including elevators and corresponding buttons, front desk, all door handles, etc.

There are dedicated entry and exit points to control the flow of traffic and ensure social distancing. Dedicated waiting areas will allow for guests to remain 6 feet apart.

Only registered guests are allowed access to guest rooms and elevators for floors 2 through 4.

The pool is only available for registered guests and day pass holders. Day pool passes will be offered based upon availability.

Social distancing will be enforced in the pool area, and guests may be limited to their pool use depending on occupancy. All pool furniture has been placed 6 feet apart and may not be moved.

FOR HOTEL GUESTS
Please refer to your pre-arrival email for detailed instructions on check-in procedures and parking information.

Guest rooms are sealed off for 24 hours prior to being cleaned after each guest checks out.

All linens, including decorative pillow cases, are washed and dried in high heat, according to CDC recommendations.

All TV remotes, handles, nightstands, telephones, light switches, temperature control panels, clocks, luggage racks, safes, refrigerators, and flooring are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

After rooms are cleaned, the General Manager and/or Director of Rooms inspects the room and seals it off so that no one may enter the room until the guest checks in.

Room items, such as pens, paper, and guest directories have been removed and are available upon request.

Electronic menus are available for in-room dining, and food is properly sealed in disposable packaging.

FOR RESTAURANT AND BAR PATRONS
Guests are required to wear a face mask when outside of their designated eating space. We will happily provide masks for guests without a mask.  

In addition to social distancing guidelines, guests are escorted to their table and designated area by team members.

All table hardware, including silverware and cups, are properly sanitized, stored, and brought to the table only after the guest is seated.

Digital menus are available via QR codes, and disposable menus are available upon request.

The door to the bathroom walkway will remain propped open to limit touchpoints.

Check presenters and pens are disinfected both before and after presented to guest.
